   National Cooperative Policy


National Cooperative Policy (DKN) from 2002 to 2010 was introduced in place some strategies to enable the implementation of the cooperative movement a more active role in national development along public and private sectors. Under DKN 2002-2010, the authoritative streamlined accountability structure in which all types of cooperatives were placed under a one-party authoritarian ministry with the Cooperative Commission of Malaysia (CCM). Previously, cooperative agri monitored by the Farmers' Organisation Authority (LPP) and fishery cooperatives by the Fisheries Development Authority of Malaysia (LKIM). 
 

This policy has been successful in providing a conducive environment for the development of the cooperative movement in an organized and structured.Its implementation is done through business development programs, access to sources of financing, the implementation of entrepreneurial culture, legislative updates and improvements in the regulation of society. Impact of the implementation of this program is an increase in the growth of the cooperative movement, cooperative and well-being of its contribution to national development.
